Vase

Model: Niel

I met Niel at an impro-theatre workshop he gave. He shared his knowledge and experience in that field and it gave us an interesting idea on how to approach this photo-session. So in addition to my usual methods that rely more on listening to music than verbal introductions, we worked with association chains that I dropped and Niel moved his body intuitively to that.

Photo series with a dear friend, shot in a dance studio with natural light through the beautiful big windows.

Glowing

With this simple monochrome portrait series I tried to capture the essence of him.
Thank you, Tim, for your trust and for showing me that trusting someone myself - fully - is possible. You´re glowing and radiating from within and I hope, nothing ever will dim your light.

Suminagashi

For this mixed-media-series I used a technique called "suminagashi".

Through several layers the pictures become multidimensional as the ink is in the water as well as added onto the print.

Dyscordia

The process of developing the idea and shooting this series was in many ways life-changing for me.

For years I felt stuck, in my life and in my art. I spent all my energy on surviving a relationship that was in many ways hurtful and traumatic for me. When I met Hagen, we instantly clicked, we started exchanging ideas, we inspired each other, we developed a concept and I cought fire. Not only did I begin to create again, I also found the courage, to do the hardest thing I ever did and leave someone I loved, for my own sake.
